National Overweight-measuring System (TSM) information

Dear Business Partner,

As you are aware, the operative legislations – in particular regulation Nr. 36/2017, Ministry of National Development as well as the updated 156/2009. (VII.29.) Government regulation – concerning the defined total weight, axle weight, axle group weight and the vehicles with over height (transportation of goods on road, carriage of humans as well as certain regulations concerning violation of the rules of the road, the imposition of fines and tasks of the authority correlating to aforementioned) have been aggravated concerning fines and penalties for trucks and their total weight as well as axle weight transgressions.

We would like to drag your attention to the fact, that after closing the test phase between 1st of January 2018 and 31st of May 2018, the National Overweight-measuring System (TSM) goes live 1st of June 2018.

Until 30st of June 2018 the maximum transgression limit will be 2%, whilst between 1st of July 2018 and 31st of December 2018 transgressions must not exceed 1%. In case the aforementioned limits will be exceeded, public administration fines will be imposed starting at 50.000.- HUF (local currency) per violation. We expect that tolerance level will be 0% as of 1st of January 2019.

This is to inform you, that along the transportation and in case in of total weight and / or axle weight transgressions caused by an actionable conduct of the consigner, fines imposed have to be borne by the consigner, who is entitled to negotiate with its partner (the loading place) in regards of devolvement of the imposed fines.

Mentioned aggravations may lead to fines en mass and their amounts may be surpassing at the same time. The avoidance of these fines is our common interest and we kindly ask you to check your loading processes, to pay utmost attention to the weight data transmitted along the transport order and to check the availability of suitable markings on your goods.

In favor of a successful cooperation also along the future,

Sincerely,
